Update: The pool at Diane Hamre Recreation Complex has now reopened, and all scheduled and drop-in programming has resumed.
Effective immediately, the Diane Hamre Recreation Complex pool is closed until further notice due to an unexpected maintenance issue.
All scheduled drop-in swimming is cancelled for the evening.
We will provide updates on when our regular programming will resume as soon as we are able to.

Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington advises residents of upcoming road closures in Bowmanville Cemetery.
Where: Bowmanville Cemetery, 1330 Haines Street, Bowmanville.
When: October 16, 2023, to the second week of November 2023. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Clarington's Municipal Administrative Centre (Town Hall) will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2023, in observance of Thanksgiving and will reopen on Tuesday, October 10, at 8:30 a.m.
Recreation Facilities
Regular facility hours and regular program schedules will be in effect Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8.
All recreation facilities will be closed on Monday, October 9.
Regular program schedules will resume on Tuesday, October 10.

Clarington’s Municipal Law Enforcement Office, located at 2611 Trulls Road in Courtice, will be closed on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, while the Region of Durham completes work in the area that requires water in the building to be turned off.
During the closure, residents can access by-law services, including parking ticket payments, at the Municipal Administrative Centre, 40 Temperance Street in Bowmanville.
The Municipal Law Enforcement Office will reopen on Thursday, September 28.

Update: The pool has been repaired and we will return to our regularly scheduled programming as of 4 p.m. today, Thursday, June 1, 2023.
As a result of a mechanical failure, the pool at Diane Hamre Recreation Complex has closed, effective immediately. The pool will remain closed, and all swimming programs have been cancelled today, May 31, and tomorrow, June 1. As soon as more information becomes available, we will provide an update on when our swimming programs will resume.
